Catholic Education Week

Our College Captains, Heidi Turnbull and Jess Drysdale, joined Mr Sandric and a group of Year 6 students in representing our school at a special Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral, Hobart, as part of Catholic Education Week. They gathered alongside students and staff from Catholic schools across the Hobart region to celebrate this important occasion.

During the Mass, Heidi delivered the First Reading, Jess led the Prayers of the Faithful, and Karl Jacobi presented the gifts to Archbishops Anthony and Julian.

Year 8 Food Thechnology

In Term 3, our Year 8 Food Technology class is cooking with ingredients from the St James garden, grown by our students. This week we made vegetable soup, using tomatoes, zucchini, corn, leek, cauliflower and broccolini which were all planted and harvested during Design & Technology Garden classes.

Book Week 2025

This year's book week theme is: Book an Adventure!

Students are invited to dress up as a book character. A parade will be held in the MPC at 9:30 on Wednesday 20th August. Families are welcome to attend.

Prep Class visited The Channel History Museum

On Wednesday the Prep class visited the Channel History Museum. It was a wonderful way for the children to gain an understanding of what our local area was like a hundred years ago and to learn about what has changed. The museum is entirely run by volunteers and it really is a credit to their dedication that the children were able to have such a glimpse into "the olden days!'

Visiting St Mary’s for the Installation of Archbishop Anthony Ireland

College Captain Heidi Turnbull, College Student Leader Riley Brereton, and our Principal, Mr Joe Sandric, joined representatives from all Catholic schools in the Hobart region to attend the Installation of The Most Reverend Anthony John Ireland at St Mary’s Cathedral.

Following the ceremony, our students had the opportunity to reconnect with our Parish Priest, Fr Warren.

The College community extends our warmest congratulations to Archbishop Anthony and wishes him every blessing in his new role as our pastoral leader. He can be assured of our ongoing support and prayers.
