Yilian from Art From Scratch is back at the Huon Valley Hub running some fun, engaging, and creative art workshops.

There are two classes available for new or existing students to take part in.

NAME: Art From Scratch – Kids
DETAILS: For students aged 9 to 14 years, this art course allows kids to socialise and have fun while developing skills in a range of art media and methods.

DATES: Thursday 25^th August 1^st, 15^th, & 22^nd September
TIME: 4:00 – 5:30 pm

NAME: Art From Scratch – Adults
DETAILS: This art course allows students to experiment with and enjoy a range of art media and methods through making an artwork each week.

TIME: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
LOCATION: Huon Valley Hub (23 Main St, Huonville)

Royal Life Saving (TAS)

We have been contacted by Royal Life Saving (TAS) to help promote the “Respect the River” project throughout the Huon Valley.    With more information about the project on the Royal Life Saving Australia website Respect the River | Royal Life Saving Society - Australia

Royal Life Saving, with the support of the Federal Government are educating the public about inland waterway safety through the “Respect the River” project.   

When enjoying island waterways it’s important to be aware of the risks and unfortunately 25% of drowning deaths occur in rivers and creeks.

Royal Life Saving have provided us with a link to a survey specifically capturing information from people in the Huon Valley.    We are hoping you will help promote this project and encourage families to complete the online survey.
