Staff Spirituality Day
St James Catholic College staff joined with staff from St Aloysius Catholic College and Sacred Heart School Geeveston, on Monday 25 July, for a Spirituality Day led by Father Richard Ross. Staff engaged in exploring the Trinity in our current world and listened to many engaging stories of Father Richard's own life journeys inspired by faith and God's presence. It was a wonderful way to commence Term 3 in a beautiful setting in South Hobart on the banks of the Hobart Rivulet.
St James Feast Day
On Wednesday 27th July we gathered as a College community to celebrate the Feast of St James. All students participated reverently in Mass, and enjoyed the opportunity to gather as a College to listen to stories about the life of our Patron Saint.
Every year on the Feast Day of St James, two students are presented with the Principal's Award. This Award recognises their significant contribution and commitment to the College and to our FLAMES values. Congratulations to Maisie Synnott (Year 5) and Melanie Darling (Year 9) on being the 2022 recipients of the Principal's Award. All students finished the day by enjoying a sausage sizzle lunch.
